Idleness has a public relations problem.

It sounds unserious, wasteful, almost immoral.

So modern people rename it recovery, self-care, or preparation for later effort.

The vago wonders whether an empty hour may be allowed to remain empty.

Why must unproductive time always defend itself with future usefulness?
